Renew Your Florida
Medical Marijuana Card

Follow these simple steps to complete your annual state license renewal and keep your access to licensed dispensaries active.

📧 Before you begin: Go to mmuregistry.flhealth.gov/Public/LogIn to log in. Your username is your email address and your password is at least 12 characters (uppercase, lowercase, number, and symbol). If you don't remember your password, click "Forgot Password" to reset it.

Phase 1 — Log In to Your Registry

Visit the Registry & LOGIN

Go to the Registry login page:

💡 Your username is your email address and your password is at least 12 characters long and includes uppercase, lowercase, a number, and a symbol.

Forgot your password?

If you don't remember your password, click "Forgot Password" on the login page to reset it. A reset link will be sent to your email.

Phase 2 — Start Your Renewal

Navigate to Patient Card

Once logged in, click the 3 bars (☰) in the top right corner. Select MANAGE YOUR INFORMATION, then click PATIENT CARD.

Begin your renewal

Click "Begin Renewal" and then select CONTINUE to proceed with the renewal application.

Verify your current information

A screen will appear showing your current information on file. If everything is correct, select APPLY and then click PROCEED.

Getting Started screen

The Getting Started screen will appear. Click "Begin Application" to move forward.

Confirm your personal information

Your personal information will appear under APPLICATION INFORMATION. Verify everything is correct, then click CONTINUE.

Phase 3 — Photo & Proof of Residency

Supply your passport-style photo

The Passport-Style Photo section will appear. Click "Supply Photo", select "Check State ID Photo", and click Proceed.

⚡ Using your DMV photo is the fastest option — it's automatically approved and speeds up your application. If you use your own photo, processing time will be 10 to 14 business days.

Confirm your DMV photo

Your DMV photo and personal information will appear. Click APPLY, then click CONTINUE under the Passport Style-Photo section.

Provide proof of residency

The Proof of Residency section will appear. Click "Supply Proof", select "Check State Residency Status", and click Proceed.

Verify your residency information

Your DMV information will appear. Carefully verify all your personal information is correct, then click APPLY and CONTINUE.

⚠️ Important — Wrong address? If your residency information is not correct, you will need to update it with the DMV first. If you submit with the wrong address, keep in mind the envelope states "DO NOT FORWARD" — it will be sent back to the state and shredded. You can still submit as-is and then select "UPDATE ADDRESS" after you have updated your information with the DMV and the card has been printed.

Phase 4 — Review & Sign

Review & sign your application

The Review & Sign section will appear. Type your legal first name in the first box and your legal last name in the second box.

⚠️ If you have two last names, or a suffix like Jr., Sr., II, III, make sure to include it exactly as it appears on your ID.

Submit your application

Click "Submit My Card Application."

A screen will appear saying payment has not been received yet — this is normal. Click CLOSE. An Application Summary will then appear — click CONTINUE.

Phase 5 — Make Your Payment

Go to the payment screen

The Application Payment section will appear. Click "CLICK HERE TO PAY ONLINE." A new window will open for the Florida Health Department payment portal.

💡 A $2.75 convenience fee applies to online payments. You can also pay by mail (check or money order — no cash accepted). ⚡ Paying with a Credit Card is the fastest option for same day approval.

Enter your card information

Select the Credit Card tab and enter your card details. Click CONTINUE when finished.

Agree to terms & make payment

Enter your email address
Check the box "I agree"
Click "Make Payment"

Save your confirmation

Take a screenshot of the payment confirmation for your records. You will also receive an email copy of the payment.

You're done! 🎉

Return to your Registry — you should see "Payment is Processing."

✅ You will receive an email confirmation within 15–30 minutes once approved by the state. After that, you can visit any licensed dispensary right away! Your new card will be mailed to your home address within 2 to 4 weeks.

📌 Keep Both Active

To make purchases at any licensed dispensary in Florida, you must keep two things active at all times:

Your State License

Renewed once a year (annually). This is what legally allows you to carry and possess products from the dispensary.

📄

Your Doctor's Recommendation

Renewed every 210 days (about 6.8 months). This is what allows you to make purchases — like a prescription.

      We will contact you 30 days in advance before your recommendation is due for renewal. Both must be active to purchase at the dispensary.
